Tracy asked, When is the best time to get my babies pictures taken?
There are so many fleeting moments in that first year of your babies life. It feels like you put one baby to bed at night and the next morning they have already changed. Here are a few key points of development that are more photogenic than others.
- Newborn, up to 2-weeks old. This stage is all about capturing the newness of life. Remembering all their tiny, delicate features and the newly formed bond between baby and parent.
- Sitting unassisted, usually around 6 to 8 months. This is such a fun age to document. Your baby is now smiling and their personality is coming out without them crawling away from you.
- First birthday, 10 to 14 months. When your child can stand, even just by holding onto furniture, they are bright-eyed and excited, yet still manageable because they aren’t super mobile yet. This is the perfect opportunity to do a smash cake session.
Have you heard about our Bebe Plan? It includes each of these milestones and some added bonuses. Definitely the best option for babies first year.
Julie asked, When should I schedule my newborn session?
You definitely want to schedule while you are still pregnant. To get the sleepy newborn shots it is best to photograph your baby no older than 2 weeks. Let me know your due date and we set a tentative date and then adjust as needed. As we all know babies come when they want to!

Jennifer asked, What is your favorite way to display newborn pictures?

This is a tough one as I have so many favorites. I love a gallery wrapped canvas or a custom album you can hold in your hands and flip through, but I think my newest favorite is the “Crib Frame”. It is a 6 inch thick frame that fills the entire space of your crib! I love that it makes a statement and can be customized to coordinate with your nursery! So adorable!
I hope this helps answer some of your questions! If you have more send them my way, I make an effort to answer every one and you never know you may be featured in my next FAQ
Here is a peek at what is coming up next!
